Red Meat, White Meat....right Meat?

The talk of red meat has been on the fore front of debates for decades.Red meat is as the name implies is the meat that has that distinctive blood red colour.So we are talking
about...beef,venison,and even to a lesser extent pork.

It has been surmised that eating cooked red meat can increase the likelihood of cancer,due to the effect of carcinogenic elements called hetero-cyclic amines.These compounds are created during cooking.Now this will or should explain why red meat is more deleterious than white meats.But these things are also found in fish and chicken,and these meats have no link to cancer occurrence rise,so far.

so whats really  happening  here? Also of  interest is, there  are people that eat only red meat,all their lives,and in huge quantities too, prepared in all kind of ways and they have remained free of any occurrence of cancer and they live to die of old  age,disease free.Hence  the speculation and study goes on and, the unresolved and uncertain issues still remains on the drawing board to be understood and deciphered.leaving us we all waiting with bated breath by our rusted grills.

But what do we do in the mean time? well we continue as we as always have, and to stay on the safeside,we do everything in moderation,eat in moderation,drink in moderation, remember to keep in mind that,anything that is over done is done  to the detriment of  the person involved.Whether it is ofthe utmost importance to your nutrition or not, even too much of the best things in life can prove to be bad for you.
